Part of my Blue Planet series.

This series looks to highlight the fragility of our planet and the lives that call it home. Each piece is a reminder that Earth itself is a living breathing thing that must be protected.

With projections of there being more plastic in the sea than fish by 2050, and our increasing understand of the importance of the oceans for the survival of the plant, I felt compelled to create a planet of fish - but just the skeletal remains.

​

I have drawn the skeletons as interlocking pieces, each connected to the next, reinforcing the intricately complex and precariously balanced ecosystem.

​

I hope the beautiful yet tragic lace-like image serves as a reminder of the natural wonder we have on Earth, but could so easily lose.
